Frequently asked questions

What to know before you arrive.

Still unsure? Call the yard and we will help you work through the details.

Call 07 4903 1913
Is the online estimate a final quote?

No. The estimator provides an indicative guide to standard haul-out, return, pressure-cleaning, hardstand and berthing charges. Final suitability, scope and pricing are confirmed after our team reviews your vessel and requested work.

Do I need to contact the yard before arriving?

General visitors are welcome to call into reception during business hours without contacting us first. Customers approved for 24-hour yard access will be issued a gate code. Vessel arrivals, lifting appointments and scheduled yard work should still be coordinated with our team in advance.

What vessel details should I have ready?

If available, provide the vessel length, beam, approximate weight, hull type, preferred timing and the work you would like completed. If you are unsure, send us what you know and our team will help determine the next step.

How are labour-based services priced?

Labour-based work such as antifouling, sanding, repairs, welding and fabrication is assessed after we understand the vessel and scope. Labour rates start from $130 per hour plus GST and may vary depending on the experience, qualifications and trade required. Materials and consumables are additional.

Can you help coordinate more than one type of work?

Yes. Our team can coordinate multiple work streams across the same yard. When specialist work falls outside our in-house services, we can engage trusted contractors and coordinate their access and timing—giving you one point of contact and a more straightforward project from start to finish.

Can I live aboard while work is being completed?

Live-aboard arrangements may be approved on application. Please discuss this with our team when booking so we can confirm whether it is suitable for your vessel, the planned work and current yard operations.

Can I complete work on my own vessel?

Yes. Customers may complete approved low-risk work on their own vessel. Anyone carrying out work in the yard must first complete and sign the required yard induction and comply with our safety and environmental requirements. Where available, we encourage materials and consumables—including paints, brushes and other everyday supplies—to be purchased through our on-site store.
